Daytona Employment is currently Recruiting for a Human Resource/ Financial Assistant

MUST HAVE 5+ YEARS OF HR AND FINANCE EXPERIENCE

Job Summary: The Human Resource and Finance Assistant has two major responsibilities.

* Complete all HR documentation, training and background checks for new employees.

*Assisting with grant billing, making copies of invoices, tax exempt, SAM.gov, for Company. and Company Charities.

Essential Functions:

HR

  • Insure all staff complete required annual trainings
  • Maintain employee files
  • Request background checks and drug screening test
  • Ensure time sheets are completed on time
  • Complete 'thank-you' notes/letters to donors

  • Open mail,
  • Work with senior staff weekly to prepare for Client check requests
  • Enter all approved invoices into QuickBooks
  • Make deposits for checks, complete deposit paperwork
  • File all billing by grants
  • Review monthly statements from vendors
  • Maintain all vendor files and grant files in the Finance Office

Requirements:

  • AA/AS degree required
  • 5 years of experience in Finance and HR
  • Nonprofit experience preferred
  • Ability to think and problem-solve creatively
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Effective written and oral communications skills
  • Enjoy working independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with QuickBooks helpful

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a non-exempt full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday thru Friday, 8am – 5pm.
