DE is hiring a Fork Lift Operator for a company in Volusia County.
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stage products and materials throughout the warehouse or production facility. This role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient handling of goods in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or pallet jack) to transport materials in a safe and timely manner.
Load and unload trucks and containers, verifying counts and inspecting materials.
Move finished goods, raw materials, or components to appropriate storage or staging areas.
Pick and stage materials for production or shipping based on work orders and schedules.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety programs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse aisles and dock areas.
May assist with general warehouse tasks such as packing, labeling, or assembling pallets.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
1–2 years of forklift or warehouse experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid forklift certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
OSHA forklift safety training certification is a plus.
Ability to operate forklifts and related equipment safely and efficiently.
Basic math and reading skills to interpret labels, packing slips, and inventory documents.
Attention to detail and strong awareness of surroundings.
Dependability and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
