Medical Risk Analyst, Medical Underwriting, Claim Auditors, with data entry of medical and claim information. This individual will be required to follow pre-set criteria to successfully triage information from the entered data.
Typing: Must be Top Notch - Pretested at 65 - 70 WPM
Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010, Word/Excel/Outlook. The Data Entry position is an entry level position that is responsible for handling all incoming reporting for a variety of clients. Reporting is received through email, fax, mail, and websites, as well as verifying reporting through phone calls to various outside entities. It is the Data Entry Clerks' responsibility to enter the reporting quickly and accurately in order to assist other departments within the company. The MRA department is responsible for monitoring and documenting reporting requirements of Excess Loss Policies to ensure timely and accurate reporting by policyholders, adheres to Company policies and procedures, and adhere to HIPAA privacy requirements and procedures. It is essential that the MRA Data Entry is capable of accurately identifying significant changes based on established criteria and/or discrepancies in reporting from one cycle to the next. This individual will be trained in the company's proprietary computer system and the different reporting requirements; as well as, medical terminology (if needed).The MRA Data Entry position may be a gateway position within 6 – 9 months to a more technical MRA position; therefore, critical thinking skills are essential.
• Typing 65 WPM, 70+ WPM preferred
• Math aptitude
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate via telephone with providers, insurance companies, and other company contacts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and Internet research
• Ability to retain concepts and apply to similar situations
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
Hours: 20 hour work week, 1pm- 5pm, during the initial training, but the company will allow this position to have a flexible schedule, IE: non-business hours if needed.
