Overview

DE is hiring Customer Service staff for a company in Volusia County.

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, processing orders, resolving complaints, and providing product or service information. The CSR plays a key role in building positive customer relationships and supporting internal teams with accurate and timely communication.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming calls, emails, and chat messages from customers in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Process customer orders, returns, and exchanges accurately using CRM or ERP systems.

  • Provide information about products, services, pricing, and availability.

  • Resolve customer issues promptly, escalating complex problems to supervisors when necessary.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, services, policies, and promotions.

  • Track orders and shipments; communicate delivery timelines and status updates to customers.

  • Document customer interactions and transactions in customer management systems.

  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales, shipping, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved and satisfaction is achieved.

  • Support outbound customer communication during product recalls, delays, or service updates.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.

  • 1–2 years of experience in a customer service, call center, or office support role.

  • Experience with CRM, ERP, or order processing systems is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry.

  • Problem-solving ability and calm demeanor under pressure.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Bilingual (Spanish, French, etc.) a plus but not required.


Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Office or call center environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use.

  • May require remote work setup (if applicable).

  • Standard business hours with occasional overtime during peak seasons.
