Overview

Daytona Employment is currently recruiting for a Machine Maintenance Mechanic for a company located in Daytona Beach. This is a Temp-to-Hire position and is a 2nd Shift, The hours will be 2:30pm to 1:00am. Schedule Tuesday to Saturday / Wednesday to Sunday. The pay rate will be $14-$16/hour, negotiable based on candidates experience and expertise level.
Training Monday to Friday - 10:00am to 8:00pm for 1st weekTuesday to Saturday – 10:00am to 8:00pm for 2nd week3rd week of training to be determined.
JOB SUMMARY:
Candidates MUST have ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blue prints with preferred experience working on RF Welders, Extruders and AC/DC Voltage checks. The Machine Maintenance Mechanic performs duties to maintain the manufacturing production equipment, performs diagnostic analysis of production equipment, troubleshoots equipment malfunctions, performs preventative/corrective maintenance activities and routine repairs involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing and pneumatic functions, while working within the limits of accepted standard practices and within a regulated industry. Focuses on using best business practice to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs whilst increasing productivity. Involved in execution of day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to the support of production/operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED equivalency required• Technical training or certification in repair of production equipment, both Electrical and Mechanical preferred.• Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, blue prints and have experience working with AC/DC Voltage.• Experience repairing, troubleshooting and diagnosing manufacturing equipment such as injection molding, RF Welding and/or Extrusion equipment and/or related manufacturing equipment.• Demonstrated working knowledge/experience of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic manufacturing equipment.• Prior knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices, FDA/GMP regulations and ISO 13481 requirements highly desired.• Must possess good communication skills, strong verbal and written skills to be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.• Demonstrates ability to set priorities, dependable and reliable attendance record, self-motivated.• Must be available for overtime when requested.• Basic knowledge of computers and common office software (e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets)
